No Updates Today And the Reason(s) Why

If you want to make money the easy way subscribe to my RSS feed, and learn how to make money from your feedreader.

1) Got a new computer. (It’s  Awesome) Took me about 2 hours to get it ready and everything.  So was out for most of the day.

2) Vista Screwed me Over.  I had Vista installed on the new machine.  Get this, it hasn’t picked up the drivers for the following: graphics card, 56k modem, and Network adaptor.  I was under the impression that I could just hook up my cable modem via the Ethernet adaptor instead of using my trusty old USB, and thus would not need to install the drivers for the cable modem.  Lo and Behold Vista did not pick up the damn Ethernet card.

Do I give up?  Hell no.  I rebooted my old computer, connected to the internet, downloaded the drivers for the cable modem.  And than another dilema, I had no floppies or blank cd’s to write the damn files onto.

Here’s where my XDA Executive came into use, I transferred the files from the old computer to the XDA, installed the XDA software onto the new computer and transferred the files from the XDA to the new computer.  It was very very tedious.  I hate upgrading!

Will be back to regular blogging tomorrow so stay in touch!  Also look out for my post on how much money was made this month.  I bought lots and lots of toys this month.

The Benefits Of Blogging Daily

May 30th, 2007 4 Comments   Posted in Internet

Some of you may not have noticed, but for the month of May, we have over 30 posts! That means I was able to average out above 1 post per day. Not too bad for someone that was updating his blog once a fort-night and than once a week.

So because I did it firsthand I thought I would share some of the benefits of updating my blog daily. Because I was able to see what happened first hand I am able to share this information with you, my dear readers.

The Benefits Of Updating Your Blog Everyday Are:

  • More Readers
  • More Feed Subscribers
  • More Money
  • More Search Engine Traffic (GooGle Love)
  • More Backlinks

More Readers:

Obviously the readers start to increase when you update daily. Lets consider this, last month I was averaging about 100 unique visitors a day and about 200 page views a day. This month I am averaging about 350-500 uniques a day and over 1000 page views a day. That works out to about 2 pages per visitor same as last month, but this month the volume has increased. I believe the main reason for this is because of the fact that I have been updating daily. I believe that with ever consecutive post the reader base will increase. I am trying my hardest to maintain my reader base and increase it. The best ways to do this are: good content and updating daily.

More Read Subscribers:

In my first month of blogging I had had about 10-15 feed readers. 2nd and

3rd were in the 50’s. This month as you can see we have finally crossed the 100 feed subscriber mark. Hell we’re close to coming up on 150 now. I’m not going to explain in full detail how updating daily can increase the number of feed subscribers to your blog. But you can read about it on the post where I talk about increasing your feed subscribers and also see another 4 ways to increase subscribers to your full feed RSS. Updating daily and asking people to subscribe to my full feed RSS are the reasons.

Here’s a screen shot, check out the gradual increase:

More money:
Yes, its true. You have a blog that is filled with unique content and updated daily you get a lot of people willing to pay money to be mentioned on your blog. A review on this blog costs $60 at reviewme. But if you contact me directly it works out a lot cheaper wink wink. All the review sales have so far been done directly where a reader likes a posts and asks me to do one for them. (I have even taken down the reviewme sidebar widget because it hasn’t done anything but clutter my sidebar). We all know how much money I made last month. I can’t wait to report this month’s earnings!

More Google (traffic) love:
As more and more posts get indexed I keep getting traffic from Google. And that’s the best kind for anyone be it blogger or webmaster because the user is looking for you or the information that you posted. I find organic or natural traffic is much better than PPC any day of the week. So the more posts I have, the more pages in Google, the more pages in Google, the more traffic. Understand?

The REAL reason Google Is Banning Made For Adsense Sites

May 29th, 2007 14 Comments   Posted in Adsense, Making Money Online

If you remember this post where I gloated that I was right about Made For Adsense being dead, it was pretty much stated that Google was banning all adsense accounts that use the MFA model to get clicks. No more smart pricing no more warnings about ‘invalid click activity’ just a straight up ban and you get to keep your earnings. I guess that is Google’s way of trying to avoid a class action…

googlevil-706076Anyway people thought that Google was trying to be “not evil” (their ethics policy not mine), and was trying to get their advertisers the best bang for their buck. But I seriously doubt that. I did some digging around and I see a different reason altogether about why Google decided to ban MFA sites, when they said the respect ‘arbitrage’ sites as a business model.

First lets think about the repercussions of this ban. A company has very very publically (N.Y. Post, Jensense) announced that they will be banning accounts that are making them money. Some of these accounts are making them over $10k a month. Now if you are a investor you get a bit edgy. The reason is because well that means Google has just shaved off a nice chunky piece of profits from it’s balance sheet. Lower profits mean Less Returns. Investors don’t like that, an announcement like this could ruin a company’s stock. I mean one post on engadget cost Apple close to $4 Billion when the stock fell. Now why would Google announce this publicly when they know that it can lead to trouble?

Very Simple.

Google is playing offense. It seems that a research company had been conducting a study on billable clack fraud rates at Google and had found 10-15% of all billed clicks to a small sampling of accounts had stemmed from invalid activity. The Fair Isaac Corporation released this study. The study was picked up by main stream media including The Wall Street Journal.

Now think about it. You make an announcement that you are closing all low converting Made For Adsense Accounts. Information about click fraud hits the media. Your already covered in the eyes of investors because you have already got rid of all low yielding accounts.

I wonder if one day Google will be leaving the CPC arena and moving onto the CPA arena. I mean the reason we as publishers take such low cuts is because we know NOT ALL consumers convert. If we knew that all consumers would convert don’t you think we would take out your ads and replace them with our own affiliate ads?

Contact Page Now Live, and some other TidBits

May 28th, 2007 No Comments   Posted in Internet, Technology

I have been getting alot of people asking me to add a contact page, so I finally went ahead and did it. Im sure it’s pretty obvious, but you can check it out now, and drop me an email.

This is also a warning to everyone that has been spamming the comments and trying to give “specials” to my readers. If you have something you would like to offer my readers than drop me an email and I will let my readers know about it.

Also I would like to announce the official launch of my second blog Free Wordpress Themes. As some of you may know I like to release Free wordpress themes or Wordpress Templates. The site is already a major success getting about 300 visitors a day. This is all from the theme releases. I decided to host the themes myself because I have a dedicated box with unlimited bandwidth and decided it would be nice to release them from my own site. The main site is also still there: ThemeHQ, I just wanted a blog though because I wanted a simple place to organize all my own themes. There are only a few on the blog for now but increasing slowly and steadily.

I really like the site that I got made, the only thing I don’t like is the layout at ThemeHQ, the problem is I dont know what I want it to like! Try explaining that to a designer… But I’m working with a few people and lets see what happens, if your a designer and interested in helping contact me using the new and improved contact form.

Also tune in for a competition tommorow. Im sure your going to like it.

I haven’t slept. I haven’t ate. I don’t know whats going on anymore. I keep on messing up with peoples links in my links sales. I had to change 60 pages becuase I forgot a damn http:// and just put the www. How is this shoemoney’s fault?

THIS GAME Do Not Click on this link no matter what. You will lose about 8 hours a day for the rest of your life. The game is more addictive than heroin and more enticing than money, at least for me it is.

How I got addicted:

This Post on Shoemoney where he offered $100 to anyone that could beat him at the game on the ‘hard level’. Now he’s not really going to give you a $100 he’s going to buy you anything at amazon for $100. He gets these gift certificates from the affiliate company Azoogle, they are very nice and give you free stuff once you start making them tons of money. I think other people have gotten free plasma’s from the company as well.

Ah well. There goes the rest of the month.

P.S. if you play the game try to make a maze for those little suckers to go through. I know it seems obvious know, but I only learned this after repatedly losing all my lives in the first few minutes.
