Wordpress Secures $29.5 Million in Round B Funding
The company behind your favorite Blogging Platform: Automattic, has secured $29.5 Million In Round 2 funding from the venture partners.
Automattic is the company that not only produced Wordpress the blogging software, they also produce one of the most important tools that you will ever possibly use for wordpress which is Akismet, other products of theirs also include items such as Gravatar, and bbPress. Though I have never used the latter of the three I can tell you one thing. If it was not for askismet spam protection I would have stopped bloggin a LONG LONG TIME AGO.
Matt talks more about the deal here and how excited they are as a whole company. Interestingly enough he now has a new domain… Wonder if that was a company expense or a personal expense?
I have not always thought on the same wave length as them. Like the time they put a bitch slap on Sponsored Links in wordpress themes, but the fact that they offer this great service for free gives them the right to be as pious as they please. And the fact that its free also gives me the right to whine as much as I possibly can.
The New York Times has also come into the fold now investing money in what they think will be a very profitable company. Old World Media is finally catching up to what the internet is about and understanding that this is the medium that people want to use now!
Maybe wordpress should just buy Yahoo now?

TNX: A review

The system that TNX uses is easy to navigate no matter how much experience you have in the webmaster world. Having used other systems I must say that I was a bit skeptical that TNX would live up to all the hype surrounding it. I was most pleasantly surprised by what I experienced after just a few days. Link building is a hard enough task but one that must be done in order for websites to really grab that search engine brass ring. Link building while making money is something that I can really get into. TNX not only made the link building process a much simpler one, but also gives webmasters the ability to earn advertising revenue. Overall it is a fabulous system and an outstanding idea. I only wish someone had thought of it sooner.
The only thing that I had to be certain of before I started was that my site was listed in Google, which it was. It has really been an easy road since. The thought of making money from my site in other areas besides the product that I’m selling never really occurred to me until I read the Digital Point thread that listed the benefits that TNX offers. My site was indexed in about two days after I added the code and then I started receiving offers from advertisers. This is absolutely the easiest way that I have found to build my link base and make money from advertisers while doing it.
From an advertisers point of view I have to say that it doesn’t get much better than TNX. The price of the links is fabulous compared to other sites that sell them. Each link is a direct link and contains the perfect keywords for search engine bots to find. The free tool to make the links look natural is definitely a winner. And anything that helps to locate perfect keywords is always a benefit no matter what system you are using. Overall, the ease of use with this system is unsurpassed, and there are many that try to beat TNX. I honestly do not believe that they come close.
Even the affiliate program is worth the small effort to make it profitable. There are several thousand affiliate programs that offer you one to two percent of their profit. TNX offers more than 13 percent, which is a great amount depending on how many people you refer. If you are into affiliate marketing at all then TNX is a great addition to your affiliate portfolio. After all, you are signing people up for something that they need. Whether you refer advertisers or webmasters you really should not have much trouble finding people who need all the services that TNX offers. This is truly a great system - foolproof even.
