Changes to Adwords and Adsense

Google has recently implemented another change to adsense ads. First it was the Ads by Google part that they were trying to change, if you remember they started using their logos instead of just the word Google. This was to try to increase the awareness of their program. Most people when they see an ad are now blind to them. That was a good way to attract some attention.

As you can see the little black shopping cart is something that is new to all the adsense ads, and adds a uniqueness to it.

The new feature is that advertisers that accept Google Checkout now get a nice little shopping cart image next to their ads. Nice little reward for the advertisers because their ads now stick out. Nice advantage for Google because now they are putting the pressure on both eBay and Paypal.

Currently Paypal is the major way that transactions are carried out online. Be it eBay or personal everyone has an paypal account. Time for Big Old G’ to put the pressure on. eBay in all their encompassing wisdom has already banned Google checkout from their auctions. But I think that with this new advertising campaign the sales will start to roll in.
