Cuil.com opens and closes on the same day

Cuil.com was opened today, and apparently all the press coverage and online coverage was too much for there servers to handle.  I have been trying to use this new search engine all day with no luck.  Apparently you may be able to write  a script that can index 120 Billion web pages but unless you are smart enough to order some extra rack space it doesn’t really matter.

For those of you that do now know cuil pronounced “cool”is made by the husband-wife team that helped build the GooGle search alogrithim.  At the moment GooGle claimes to index 1.2 Trillion pages.

Let’s hope that they can get there act together and get their site online.  This new launch has recieved widespread media attention and to have your site down in the middle of all this is a kind of a huge fail.
