Trust me. It's not uncommon for a new site to get good rankings for a day or two (longer in some cases) and then disappear into the sandbox for awhile. Age def. plays a factor - although I've seen older domains get sand-boxed at times too (its less common). Buy a brand new .INFO domain and you'll see how much Google hates them. On the other hand, Google has improved its algorithm. They figure out that this guy wants good rankings on high competitive keywords. Your site will be most probably VANISH from the search engine until Google thinks its grown up to be given such a place. Sandbox exists and is more real than you might think.
