Ebay: The Beginning Fast and Easy Cash

If you want to make money the easy way subscribe to my RSS feed, and learn how to make money from your feedreader.

From the age of 19 till 21 I made over £250,000 on eBay selling products. It started out simple enough. I sold a Scarface dvd on Amazon, all the ones on Amazon were selling for like £30, I put mine on for £15, and it sold in 15 minutes.  I was amazed.  I bought all the copies of scarface I could find on eBay, and from friends and family and started selling them at £25 a piece and they sold as well. Why?  At the time the Scarface dvd was out of circulation and thus was quite rare, now you can pick one up for £5, I found other DVDs like this Lion King II, The Little Mermaid, Jungle Book, and a lot of Disney Movies.  But there were only a certain amount of buyers in that range so I had to move on.  I started eBay’ing.  Movies were good but other electronic products also led to me making a nice piece of change.

The cash was fast and the work was easy, I was the richest student in my University, and I loved it.  I was living the life that all kids dreamed; I never thought I would need a job or this education that I was paying through the nose for.  And than one day it happened, my eBay account got suspended for some complaints (most likely from jealous competitors), now when you have a turnover of around 300 products a day, that means you have about 800 products in the pipeline of being delivered or being packed.  I was never great at the customer service aspect of things, and usually had a turn around time of 3 days so didn’t really need to email people to keep them up to date.  Now think about it, you have about 800 people waiting for products and you have me trying to stay in contact with eBay to get my account reinstated and you have about 500 people emailing me to find out what’s going on.  I couldn’t take the time to email all 500 people so just decided to wait until my account was reinstated.  I like to call what I did here: stupidity.  When you don’t reply to people they think you are ripping them off.  When they think you are ripping them off, they complaint to paypal!

If you thought having your eBay account suspended was a bitch, try having “limited account access” with paypal, what does this mean?  Well depending on the limitation it could mean anywhere from you can do everything except withdraw money to you not even being able to receive money.  The paypal system is arcane, and illogical and practically impossible to work with.  So now my eBay account gets reinstated with me proving everything was legit, and than BAM I can’t sell anymore because I can’t receive money.  This all got worked out in the end, but once your account is limited once, the next time you get a complaint it leads to automatic limitation.  In the end all the buyers got their products but my reputation on eBay was ruined due to all the negatives I had received.

What do I do now?  I started getting friends to make paypal accounts and eBay accounts in their name, and me paying them 5% for the favour.  At the end of the day their accounts also got suspended (it was very cutthroat competition).

And than I got pissed off, I decided the hell with it! They don’t want to make money from me why the hell should I run circles for them!  When I was setting up all these new accounts I usually need quick feedback.  What was the best way to do this? EBOOKS.  I used to buy like 20 of them at a time and get some quick feedback, and just before I left I actually read a couple of them.  The term adsense sure did come up a lot.
