Almost came to the shock of my life when I signed into my netfirms account and found out that this domain was about to be dropped, one of my most important domains and I was just about to let it drop into the domain name after market.
I can only guess what some domainer would have done with the page.
Just a quick new years warning to sign into you namecheap/netfirms/godaddy account and double check all your renewal dates.
I know you get an email asking you to renew 3 months and 1 month before the expiry date, but unfortunely I did not recieve any emails from netfirms.
Way to screw the pooch guys.

I have all my domains on NameCheap and when a domain is going to expire, I will get a renewal notice at least a month in advance. Usually, you can get up to 3-5 reminders before the domain is dropped. Looks like NetFirms is not doing the business the right way.

Thats one of the reasons why I stopped using Netfirms a long time ago.

Unfortunately for me, I have about 30 domains spread across about 12 different registrars
It makes the updating process difficult. I’ll probably make an Excel file with the expiry dates in order or something
