Publishers. Google Has Owned Thee. No more Firefox referrals

I woke up this morning happy. Ready to face the world thinking that nothing could get in my way. I went through my feedreader reading my usual list of blogs of which of course I have to add shoemoney, because he is the man. Even though he’s not always talking about making money online I like the way that he talks/writes and he’s funny. And sometimes he posts this video of a really hot girl talking about SEO she’s blonde and I don’t even know what her name is but DAMN!

Anyway shoemoney wrote a post talking about how GooGle had recently put a ban on adsense publishers abroad and how they can no longer send referrals for the adsense program. HAHAH, at this point I am not too concerned thinking that I never refer anyone for adsense anyway, and I have no chance in hell of ever signing up 100 publishers in 180 days anyway.

So I’m cool thinking that this has had no effect on my what so ever.

And than I read probloggers blog and he also talks about this a bit more angrily since he is located in Australia and he no longer has the oppurtunity to refer people to the adsense program. I can understand being in his position, when your blog is about making money online and you have over 20k subscribers in your RSS alone you can expect to send alot of converting referrals to Adsense. Well, the dream is dead.

Still not too concerned.

When I sign into my adsense account today I see that I have made absolutely no cash for firefox referrals, this is bad news since I usually make about $20-$40 a day from referrals. So you can imagine my shock when I signed in and it said $0.

It seems that if you are abroad and you were making any type of money from referrals it is al over.

I am pissed. Google is pissing me OFF!

Not sure what to do about this at this point, will figure something out to continue to monetize the site but don’t expect a earnings report for the next few days.

I have heard from some other people that there websites while based in the US were not showing ads for referrals either, so it may be a temporary glitch, but losing over $30 because they were not serving ads is quite annoying.
